Biography

Prof. Jito Vanualailai obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics (Systems and Control Theory) from Kobe University, Japan, in 1994, after which he joined the School of Computing, Information & Mathematical Sciences of the University of the South Pacific, Fiji, where he is now a Professor of Mathematics. His research interests include Stability of Nonlinear Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Volterra Integro-differential Systems, Planning Algorithms, and Swarm Intelligence.

Postgraduate Supervisions

Prof. Vanualailai has successfully supervised 19 postgraduate students (17 masters students and 2 PhD students), five of whom won the USP Gold Medal for Best Thesis.
