Research Area: Effect of temperature and nutrients on the growth and reproduction of invasive seaweed

Current Research Summary:

My research is about how temperature and nutrients could possibly affect the growth of two invasive species namely Sargassum polycystum and Gracillaria edulis in the future. If these two variables do indeed play a part in their growth then they could be a serious threat to the biodiversity in future. The prevalence of these two invasive species can not be taken lightly.

The Candidature Experience:

In the last semester of my undergraduate program, I had decided to pursue postgraduate studies and I applied for the GA scholarship that provides students with a great opportunity to solve real life problems through credible research. As a recipient of GA scholarship at USP I had first hand experience of contributing and enhancing knowledge through research.
