Biography

Anushka Maharaj graduated from USP with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology in 2012, and a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychology in 2014.
Prior to working at the Research Office, Anushka was a research assistant at Fiji Women’s Rights Movement (FWRM) on two research projects, one of which was a scoping study on women’s participation in the political arena. She has a keen interest in researching about gender, human rights issues and culture.
Anushka started working at the Research Office in July, 2015 as Research Student Coordinator Assistant. As RSC assistant, Anushka was responsible for the administrative part of research student coordination. She was the main point of contact with PG students and was responsible for organizing research workshops and forums. Anushka transitioned into the role of Research Student Coordinator in April of 2017 and is now responsible for research scholarships and all aspects of postgraduate research studentship at the university.
