Toktok Blong Lumi

The University Research Office, in its efforts to provide greater administration support and to encourage a culture of support and networking among research scholars has embarked on an informal conversation series, specifically for Solomon Island students. The Toktok Blong Lumi sessions are a spin-off of the Vei Talanoa sessions which have been running since 2015. This session will be largely in the Solomon Islands Pidgin. The need for such a session was in fact indicated by students themselves; the Research Office only coordinates the information flow and ensures that resources are available.

These sessions will be held on the 3rd Friday of every month from 2.00pm – 4.00pm at the Wot Eva Bar, Laucala Campus.

Solomon Island research scholars are encouraged to send in issues they would like discussed during these informal meetings at least 5 days before the meetings. Scholars are also required to confirm their attendance prior to the meetings due to space constraints
